dante
We planned to go to Beerzaar for lunch today, but it didn't open until 1:30. Despite the stupid name and the fact they don't open until 1:30 pm on a Saturday, Beerzaar is a decent place for tapas. Not to the level of Despaña, but a nice surprise, especially since it is in the neighborhood. But this review is about Dante.I got out my trusty Google map with the multitude of green flags, stars, hearts, etc. and chose Dante. What a great choice! The brunch was one of the cleanest meals we have had in a while, and it was much more delicious than Souen (which is known for clean food). We split a poached egg with prosciutto and watercress perched on a piece of grilled toast and a brown rice bowl that was topped with sashimi cubes, seaweed salad, avocado, radishes, and a drizzle of olive oil. It was just the right amount of food with an amazing amount of flavor for its simplicity of ingredients. Add in a couple of solid glasses of wine, and we were very happy campers. We could definitely see becoming regulars at this place.
