practicality over pride

I'm a sucker for fashion blog headlines and clicked on ""8 Shopping Bags You Should NOT Be Seen Carrying" from my "Guest of a Guest" newsletter this weekend. While I agree that it would be embarrassing to be seen with any of the critiqued bags, it is my duty to defend the contents of one of them.  Like most women, my journey through the world of somewhat-adult underwear began in my local mall, sifting through the bins of brightly colored panties and bras in the store with the pink striped walls. When I progressed to the point where "good" underwear was in the clothing budget, the offending brand was no longer desired. Commando and Hanky Panky became favorites as I tried to combat panty lines under pants and skirts that hugged my curves. Some unapologetic blogger listed Victoria's Secret as a viable option. I was skeptical but figured there was nothing to lose with the piddling panty price tag (how did you like that alliteration?). It was a great decision. No panty lines and at less than $5 a pair, you can easily replace them when they begin to show a little wear from the wash. Go with the All-Over Lace Thong, the Boyshort Panty, No-Show Thong, or pretty much any of the thongs or boyshorts - you can't go wrong (bikinis will always give you panty lines).
